Modern Atomics Taps Bond and BTX to Demonstrate Latest Advancements in PoE Motorized Shades, Power Distribution and Smart Control

Raleigh, NC – April 9, 2026 – Highlighting the latest in Power over Ethernet (PoE) motorized shade technologies, Modern Atomics’ (booth #124) brand new power supply, Collider PoE-15, will be driving BTX Intelligent Fashion’s new PoE motors, and all smartly controlled by Bond.

The Modern Atomics Ai-enhanced power distribution units are an entirely new breed, steeped in design from the brand’s expertise in the custom residential (CEDIA) channel. Collider PoE15 is a new Zero-Config 15-port Gigabit switch power distribution unit capable of auto-discovering and driving 15 PoE shade motors at once. Collider simplifies installation / deployment, has built-in buttons to test the motors, interfaces easily with popular shade and automation systems, and eliminates up to 99.75% of normally wasted idle electrical current, drastically reducing energy consumption.

Collider also brings PoE motors into the Bond smart control ecosystem, creating new opportunities for all types of shade installations regardless of motor type and completely unifying control. As told by Modern Atomics Chairperson Michael Braithwaite, PoE is the only worldwide electrical shade standard for power and communications, regardless of shade brand. The PoE cable is cost effective, readily available, and can be run in longer lengths than all other proprietary shade wiring.

The Bond platform has become the preferred way to smartly control motorized window coverings, ceiling fans, pergolas, outdoor heating, and much more. It has earned this leadership position for its extreme flexibility (collaborating with many brands, and integration with automation systems), simple setup, exceptional range, and reasonable pricing. The RF-to-WiFi Bond Bridges deliver intuitive unified control via smartphone and automation platforms.

Featured at the Bond exhibit (#809) will be the new Bond Firefly Aura and Pixel LED lighting strip controllers - and for the latest in automated control of shutters, awnings, and more, Bond’s next generation Breeze Pro ultrasonic wind/rain/sunlight sensor, Sidekick for Shades on-wall keypad (Gen4), and Mate Pro wet-rated outdoor universal smart remote control.

BTX Intelligent Fashion is the first company to incorporate Bond technology into their PoE motors. Utilized across the brand’s Roller Shades, Drapery Systems, Roman Shades, Exterior Screens, Skylights, and Exterior Tensioned Systems, the BTX Smart by Bond motors are the smartest and most capable of their kind. Dealers benefit from streamlined deployment, simplified integration with automation, future-proof product evolution through Over-the-Air updates, reduced service calls. End-users enjoy intuitive control experiences, in-app messaging, robust scene customization, enhanced security, improved energy efficiency, and 4x longer RF-range (up to 3,000+ sq. ft. coverage).

Braithwaite added “Modern Atomics, Bond, and BTX will be the stars of IWCE! Our Collider PoE-15 auto-discovers the PoE motors, and the Bond Bridge Pro’s advanced integration settings make for an easy connection for installers, and no drivers are required. We will also have the Bond Bridge Pro controlling the new Rollease Automate motors, as well as Somfy SDN motors. And everything I just described, no one else can do with Bond!” Modern Atomics will also be demoing the motors with Bond’s Mate Pro.
