In tune with consumer’s needs for a higher-end lifestyle experience, Bond Bridge commands window treatments right from the Smartphone or tablet and also brings programming and voice-activation Master installer and IWCE speaker, O’D McKewan, to demonstrate Bond Bridge during IWCE’s April 5th WFCP Motorized Window Coverings Certificate Program Fort Lauderdale, FL – April 2, 2022 – The leader in smart control for the window coverings category, Bond Bridge brings better control to motorized shades, blinds, and awnings. And no project is too big or small. All attendees of the 2022 International Window Coverings Expo are invited to experience Bond Bridge in action at booth #440. Bond Bridge is compatible with motorized shades from Somfy, Rollease Acmeda, Nice, Bofu, A-OK, and Dooya, with broader compatibility to follow. Easy to set up, Bond Bridge replicates the window treatment’s remote-control commands in the Bond Home Smartphone / Tablet App. Plus, the App adds scheduling/programming capability and voice-activation through connectivity to Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and SmartThings Apps.

One Bond Bridge ($99) can manage thirty shades (ceiling fans and fireplaces too) throughout a 2,500 sq. ft. home. The more robust Bond Bridge Pro ($379) brings Ethernet and Power Over Ethernet and can manage fifty appliances in a 3,500 sq. ft. home. Both integrate with higher-end home automation systems, namely Control4, Crestron, Elan, RTI, Josh.ai, Homebridge and Hubitat. Bond requires no installation or wiring, and for larger jobs multiples can be used.

The Bond SideKick ($79) wireless 5-channel keypad provides direct remote-control of Somfy and Rollease shades (and soon others). SideKick can command shades to move up and down in batches and multiple SideKick’s can be used on larger projects. When mated to Bond Bridge Pro, SideKick communicates the operational status of the shades (i.e., opening, closing, stopping) to the

Bond Home App or home automation system, a fail-safe feature that professionals really appreciate. SideKick is integrated into a decora wall plate (included) that mounts flush on the wall or electrical box and has a long battery life of 10-years.

“From thermostats to surveillance cameras, to appliances, to whole-house control systems and everything in between, the Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming ubiquitous in the home. And the Bond Bridge Pro is playing a role in that expansion,” says Jason Knott, editor-in-chief of CE Pro Magazine, which awarded Bond Bridge Pro with their IoT/Connected Product award that honored IoT-related products serving residential and commercial markets.

Bond Bridge parent company Olibra has released a recent survey of 100,000 active users of the Bond Bridge platform. The survey identifies what features consumers seek in smart motorized window shades. Convenience, voice control, integration, security and Smarthome are all key drivers.

IWCE attendees are invited to meet the Bond team (booth #440) and learn more about how their technology takes their motorized window treatment control to a higher-level experience. Additionally, master installer O’D McKewan will demonstrate Bond Bridge during his comprehensive WFCP Motorized Window Coverings Certificate Program (April 5, 9 AM – 5 PM).
